Hailing from Spanish Harlem comes Flames Ryder, Self Made Millionaire Records Artist and President.bHe grew up in the infamous Wagner Housing Projects but usually found on 116 Street near Pleasant Ave. on the eastside of Harlem. Hustling and selling drugs from a young age he had a passion for music and started to turn his pain, struggle, and everyday life in Harlem into music. He began doing mixtapes with friends and formed a group named The Lex Mover$ where he worked on his craft doing freestyles and partaking in street battles in Harlem. Eventually getting locked up in 2013 for selling heroin where he would do a year long bid in Rikers Island's infamous C73 building. There he would befriend an inmate named Nu Child, a rapper who was featured on the Ruff Ryders Vol. 1 album song “The Hood.” Freestyling and battling while locked up he continued to work on his craft and Nu Child showed him how to break apart his long freestyles and turn them into songs with choruses. When Flames came home he joined forces with his longtime childhood friend Streets Da Don who founded Self Made Millionaire Records and together with rapper Sixteen they built the label up. Releasing many mixtapes, interviews, freestyles, music videos and performances they were determined to live their dream. Flames brings a lyrical flow that captures the sound of Harlem. From 2012 to 2018 Flames has released his fair share of music including “Brown Paper Bag Money” and “The Green Pill”, two solo Mixtapes. He has also released a collaborative Mixtape with Streets Da Don entitled “Pyrex Music” and a Label collaborative Mixtape entitled “Money Green Flag Vol. 1.” Moving Forward Flames will be gearing up to release more music, more videos, and Debut his first official project that will be distributed on all major digital platforms.
